Synnex(2347TW) Q2 Revenue Falls 7% to NT$93.3 billion on Currency Headwinds
2025.07.10

Synnex announced consolidated revenue of NT$93.3 billion for the second quarter, representing a 7% year-over-year decline primarily due to the significant appreciation of the Taiwan Dollar. Cumulative consolidated revenue for the first half of the year amounted to NT$184.7 billion, down 9% compared to the same period last year.

Across Synnex's four business segments, the Enterprise Solutions business recorded second-quarter revenue of NT$30.2 billion. While this marked a 5% decline year-over-year, it still represented the second-highest for the same period on record. Key products such as AI servers and cloud services continued to deliver steady growth. The IT Consumer business reported revenue of NT$28.0 billion, a modest 3% year-over-year decline. Sales of the gaming and console products were boosted by the launch of NVIDIA's next-generation graphics cards and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, while PCs posted slight growth. However, sales of peripherals and smart devices declined noticeably. The Mobile Device business, supported by the introduction of new products and increasing demand for Apple smartphones, achieved second-quarter revenue of NT$4.6 billion, up 2% year-over-year, reaching a seven-year high for the period. The Semiconductor Business posted revenue of NT$33.5 billion, a 10% year-over-year decrease as market demand gradually returned to normal.

From a regional perspective and measured in local currencies, Taiwan, Australia & New Zealand, and Indonesia all delivered solid second-quarter results. Taiwan saw a substantial 22% year-over-year increase, mainly driven by significant growth in the Enterprise Solutions and Mobile Device businesses. Both Australia & New Zealand and Indonesia reached new second-quarter revenue records, with annual growth of 9% and 4% respectively, primarily fueled by the Enterprise Solutions segment. In contrast, China and Hong Kong were impacted by the overall market environment, with revenues declining by 9% and 18% respectively.

For the first half of the year, the Enterprise Solutions Business posted revenue of NT$57.1 billion, hitting a new record high for the period and posting 1% year-over-year growth. The IT Consumer Business generated revenue of NT$53.9 billion, down 3%. The Mobile Device Business recorded revenue of NT$9.8 billion, a slight 1% decline from the previous year. The Semiconductor Business posted revenue of NT$69.3 billion, representing a 20% year-over-year decrease.
