Synnex reported consolidated revenue of NT$29.5 billion for May, representing an 11% decrease compared to the same month last year. Total consolidated revenue for the first five months of the year reached to NT$152.2 billion, down 9% year-on-year.
Among its four major business segments, the Enterprise Solutions business continued to deliver strong results, with May revenue reaching NT$9.4 billion, setting a new record high for the same period and growing 2% year-on-year. The IT Consumer business recorded NT$9.6 billion in revenue, a slight 4% decline from the same time last year. Revenue from the Mobile Device business came in at NT$1.5 billion, down 12% year-on-year. The Semiconductor business saw a relatively larger adjustment, with revenue totaling NT$9.8 billion, a 23% decline from the previous year.
Regionally, revenue from the Australia and New Zealand region hit a record high for May, growing 18% year-on-year. Taiwan also delivered a strong performance, with May revenue reaching the second-highest level on record and increasing 44% year-on-year. Meanwhile, revenue from China and Hong Kong declined 14% year-on-year due to the impact of the market environment.
For the January to May period, revenue from the Enterprise Solutions business reached NT$44.7 billion, setting a new record for the period and increasing 7% from last year. The IT Consumer business generated NT$43.9 billion in revenue, down 3% year-on-year. The Mobile Device business remained flat with revenue of NT$8.4 billion, while the Semiconductor business recorded NT$59.3 billion in revenue, reflecting a 21% year-on-year decrease.
