Synnex preliminary consolidated financial results were as follows:
Synnex consolidated sales revenue in Jun’16 was NT$29.8bn, with an increase of 16% from NT$25.7bn in the prior year. In Q2’16, consolidated revenue was NT$83.5bn, with a growth of 14% from NT$73.2bn in the prior year. Both Jun’16 and Q2’16 revenue hit the highest new high over the same period. 1H’16 YTM sales revenue was NT$161.0bn, with an increase of 12% from NT$143.4bn in the prior year, and stroke the new high record. Due to the remarkable performance in the first half year, Synnex is looking forward to enjoying outstanding revenue performance for the whole year of 2016.
Despite the traditional low season for electronic industry and the threat from industrial depression, Synnex still achieved stunning revenue performance in Q2’16, breaking the new record in May and June as well as for Q2’16, superior than the market. By geographic segment, the well performance was from the consistent growth in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, and another crucial key was from China. China kept growing for consecutive three quarters since Q4’15, and reached 13% YOY in Q2’16.
By the product segment, the IT product and IC component made brisk performance, and both set the highest record over the same period. In Q2’16 the IT sales revenue totaled NT$47.2bn, with a growth of 20% YOY. The growth was mainly from the grasp of the trend in the gaming PC and NB product, and the raise of ASP of PC components which continuous increased the market share. Furthermore, due to the expansion of the product line of commercial market, the development of channel, and the synergy from the cloud business, the commercial revenue grew 32%YOY.
IC component grew 12%YOY, also set a new high record over the same period. Besides the expansion of the product line, the innovative supply chain service model would also be the critical factor of the strong growth. The Telecom revenue grew 11%YOY mainly from the growth in Hong Kong and Indonesia market. Consumer Electronic revenue declined 6%YOY mainly from the shrink of tablet market. Nevertheless, the decline margin from tablet market slowed down, and the demand for gaming and other consumer product increased gradually.
