Synnex(2347) delivered impressive third-quarter results, with revenue, gross profit, operating income, and pre-tax profit all achieving significant year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter growth, setting new records for the period. Third-quarter revenue totaled NT$108.8 billion, an 11% increase year-over-year; after-tax net profit reached NT$2.3 billion, with earnings per share (EPS) of NT$1.35, marking a 33% increase over the prior year. For the first three quarters, cumulative revenue was NT$312.8 billion, the second-highest in the company history, reflecting an 11% year-over-year increase. After-tax net profit was NT$6.3 billion, up 22%, with an EPS of NT$3.76.
In Q3, all four of Synnex's major business segments posted revenue gains. The Technology Solution business maintained a steady upward trajectory throughout the year, achieving a record third-quarter revenue of NT$34 billion, up 20% year-over-year. The IT Consumer business buoyed by a recovery in PC demand and new products launches, posted revenue of NT$33.8 billion, a 4% increase year-over-year. The Telecom business reached a six-year high with NT$4.9 billion in revenue, a 3% year-over-year increase, driven by robust demand in Southeast Asia and new product launches in September. The Semiconductor business, supported by strong AI-driven demand and restocking by server and PC companies, recorded NT$38.2 billion in revenue, an 8% year-over-year increase and a record for the period.
Profitability also saw substantial gains, with Q3 gross profit at NT$4.7 billion and a gross margin of 4.33%, up 14% from the previous year, attributed to continued optimization in product mix. Operating expenses were reduced to a decade-low 1.98% due to enhanced operational efficiency, scale economies, and improved management effectiveness, lifting operating income up to NT$2.6 billion, a 34% increase year-over-year. The operating margin reached 2.35%, a new high for the period. Pre-tax profit surged 36% year-over-year to NT$3.3 billion, with a pre-tax margin of 3.03%, also a record high. After-tax net profit came to NT$2.3 billion, with an EPS of NT$1.35, showing 33% growth year-over-year and a 24% increase over the previous quarter.
