The Synnex Group welcomed a delegation of Australian cross-party parliamentarians to its headquarters on October 21, where they were received by the CEO of Synnex Group, Mr. Kee Ong. The visiting members included Federal MP Steve Georganas, Federal MP Darren Chester, and Federal Senator Richard Colbeck. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on Synnex's investment progress and operational plans in Australia, as well as on talent development and broader industry growth.

As a leading ICT distributor in Australia, Mr. Ong noted that the country's ICT market is the third largest in the Asia-Pacific region, behind only Mainland China and Japan. Synnex has been investing in Australia for more than 28 years and is ranked among the top 120 enterprises nationwide, as well as the largest Taiwanese enterprise operating in the country. Recognising Australia's strong growth potential, Synnex has established dual logistics and operations centres in Sydney and Melbourne, with a total investment exceeding USD 140 million, supporting an annual revenue scale of over USD 1.9 billion. Mr. Ong expressed his gratitude to the Australian government for its continued support, which has enabled Synnex not only to strengthen its competitiveness, but also to contribute to local industry advancement and economic growth.

The parliamentarians commended Synnex's long-term investment and commitment in Australia, and were particularly impressed by the company's continuous innovation in service models including advanced commercial ICT solutions, cloud service offerings, AI-driven smart logistics, and multi-customer integration capabilities that even enable real-time, multi-location retail delivery. Both sides also exchanged views on talent recruitment, public infrastructure services, and tax policy developments, expressing hope for continued and deeper collaboration in the future.
