Synnex preliminary consolidated financial results were as follows:
Synnex Y17’Dec. sales revenue was NT$35.5bn, with 9% YOY. Y17Q4 sales revenue was NT$107.1bn with a significant growth of 18% YOY, and it was the highest record in single quarter since Y17Q3, as well as breaking NT$100bn in two consecutive quarters.
The aggressive buying power in Q4 lasting from Q3, leading the increasing demand in consumer, commercial, IC component, and also the stable growth in market share, the growth rate of revenue all showed over double digit in all subsidiaries, even breaking the new high record in recent five years. Especially in Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong grew 15%, 24% and 22% YOY respectively, reaching the historical highest record in single quarter.
By product segment, IT related product and IC component product both broke highest record in single quarter, with significant growth of 13% and 41%. Among IT product, due to the hot trend in eSports and increasing demand in storage device, PC component grew with15%YOY. Commercial revenue growth reached 23% YOY since enterprise and government conducted budget in the year end. IC component increased 41% YOY due to expansion in new customers and new product line including AI, IoT and smart automobile device, and breaking the historical high record in two consecutive quarters. Telco product and consumer product growth with 8% and 3% YOY respectively and both over 30% of QOQ which was mainly from the hot sale of iPhone new model, Smart Speaker & Home Assistant, drone and other intellectual device.
Looking forward to Y18Q1, due to the strategic planning and deep developing in different markets and channels which gradually become mature, it will bring the operation into a growing cycle, Synnex expects to have better performance than other competitors in the traditional low season.
