SYNNEX Technology International Corporation's(TW:2347) Overseas Investments , Synnex Corporation, a public company in the US, announced that it will acquire Tech Data, the world's second largest IT distributor.

SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX) and Tech Data today announced they have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which SYNNEX and Tech Data will combine in a transaction valued at approximately $7.2 billion

Synnex has announced its business performance of 2020, of which net profit after tax for the whole year was NT$8.2 billion, increased 20% YoY; earnings per share was NT$4.89. Whereas the financial indicators such as gross profit, operating income, profit before tax and profit after tax all simultaneously hit the record high in 2020.

In the first two months of the first quarter of 2021, sales momentum was strong, with accumulated revenue of NT$53.7bn, a sharp increase of 30% from the same period last year, and a record for the second highest in the same period

On January 25, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) conferred an honorary doctoral degree to Evans S.W. Tu, President and CEO of SYNNEX Group, in recognition of his major contributions with regard to business management and society.

Synnex (TWSE:2347) reported preliminary consolidated revenue of NT$31.0 bn for the month of Jan 2021, with significant increase 42% from the same period last year.

In 2020, Synnex International, driven by its full sprint in the fourth quarter and breaking through the 100 billion, will reverse its annual revenue and return to growth. Last year’s consolidated revenue was NT$334.3billion, ruling out the impact of Forex rate impact, it would have grown by 1% from 2019.

Synnex today announced its preliminary consolidated revenue in December 2020 was NT$37.5 billion or 13% YoY, set a record high over the same period, and also the second highest record in a single month. 

The Chinese Society for Management of Technology held their 30th Annual Meeting and Thesis Seminar on the 11th where Evans S.W. Tu, President and CEO of Synnex Technology International Corporation received an award of the highest honor - the “Technology Management Award”.

Synnex Technology International Corporation announced that the company will become the exclusive distributor of Denmark e-sports brand SteelSeries.
