Attributed to SYNNEX MSP, Working with Apple, Microsoft, Acer, and HP to achieve great success in the 2022 largest education tender
2022.08.02

With the COVID-19 pandemic still impacting people’s lives, the Ministry of Education launched the “Digital Learning Enhancement Plan” to accelerate digital learning and bridge digital gaps. The Ministry plans to spend NT$20 billion over four years so that there is “Internet in every class, a tablet for every student”. Through the “Management Service Platform” (MSP) that it has strongly promoted in recent years, SYNNEX Technology International Corp (TWSE:2347) successfully joined hands with four major brands and dealers to cover nearly half of the 580,000 orders for the “A Tablet for Every Student” plan and successfully delivered the tablets to 1700 schools across 22 cities and counties across Taiwan in late June, showing strong project integration and delivery capabilities that have impressed the information industry.

For years, SYNNEX has integrated vendors and dealers to promote the “SYNNEX Digital Education Alliance” and cultivate the education market. This year, through the highly efficient integration and operation of the MSP, SYNNEX joined hands with Apple, Microsoft, Acer, and HP, as well as dealers across Taiwan to achieve great success in the “A Tablet for Every Student” plan, the largest education tender of the year.

In addition to setting records in terms of amount and quantity of orders, the tablets had to be delivered to schools across 22 cities and counties in Taiwan (including outlying islands), a proportion of which are schools in remote areas. From the start of the tender to the delivery of the goods, this posed unprecedented challenges for the vendors, dealers, and channel distribution. Additionally, the second quarter saw a rise in COVID-19 cases across Taiwan, making logistics and delivery much more difficult. To get the tablets to students as soon as possible so that their education is not affected by the pandemic, SYNNEX leveraged the functions and benefits of the MSP and delivered the tablets to schools with timely, correct, and high-quality logistical services to the high satisfaction of customers.

For this project, SYNNEX fully leveraged the power of the MSP, which includes four integrated service capabilities:

Cash flow services: Provide quota support for dealers before and after the bid.

Logistical services: Integrate the high-quality delivery services of its subsidiary Synergy Intelligent Logistics Corp. to contact each school before shipment and properly deliver the goods safely to the designated locations.

Maintenance services: Collaborate with local dealers, to create special startup screens and other customized software for each school.

Digital tools: Provide special apps for each vendor and dealer respectively so that they can keep track of the order and delivery progress for each county and city at any time.

SYNNEX is honored to take part of this major education plan and help improve student's digital learning environment, doing its part so that schools can get the devices in time for subsequent software installation. This project once again proves SYNNEX’s delivery capabilities when it comes to large projects. Being able to complete such a difficult mission in such a short time showcases the high professionalism of Synergy Intelligent Logistics as well as SYNNEX’s strong operating capabilities.
