The Chinese Society for Management of Technology held their 30th Annual Meeting and Thesis Seminar on the 11th where Evans S.W. Tu, President and CEO of Synnex Technology International Corporation received an award of the highest honor - the “Technology Management Award”. The Society pointed out that under the leadership of Evans S.W. Tu, SYNNEX Group consolidated the domestic technology services industry and established the world's second largest information communication channel. He has established many concepts of corporate management as well as practical experiences and is an important role model in the field of technology management; therefore, the "Chinese Society for Management of Technology" awarded him with the highest honor - the "Technology Management Award".

At the ceremony, Evans S.W. Tu stated that while he had a background in information engineering when he attended the Department of Computing and Control Engineering (now Electrical and Computer Engineering) at National Chiao Tung University in 1970, he worried that he would be unemployed after graduation. It just happened that his university founded a Department of Management Science in 1971 so he took initiative and selected courses from the department. After investing himself, he found that he enjoyed the courses and found them interesting. He never imagined that upon graduation, he would have 27 credits in management courses, including 6 credits in general accounting; in the end, he completed an excessive amount of credits with 167. He jokingly said that under the current system, he would probably earn a "minor" or "double major" in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Chiao Tung University; therefore, you can say he has a "hidden degree" from the university's Department of Management Science.

Chinese Society for Management of Technology was founded in 1990 for establishing, exchanging, and passing down knowledge in technology management. Over the past 30 years, the society has worked closely with Hsinchu Science Park and Industrial Technology Research Institute to build innovative systems for high-tech industries, promote and cultivate talent who possess the spirit of innovation and science, and drive the development and transformation of technology in Taiwan. The society is a representative figure in Taiwan, with members such as key professors in the field of management as well as leaders of the technology industry.
