David Tu, Group Business Development and Strategy VP of SYNNEX Technology International Corp (TWSE:2347), was awarded outstanding alumni by Yang Ming Chiao Tung University on February 18.

According to Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, David Tu graduated from the department of computer engineering of National Chiao Tung University in 1980. After graduation, he was committed to the information industry and went to the United States to obtain a master's degree in computer engineering before working in Silicon Valley, where he spent more than 10 years specializing in the emerging network communication sector. After returning to Taiwan, he joined SYNNEX to assist in the introduction and development of information value-added and network products, and facilitate SYNNEX to become an all-round ICT product distributor. Subsequently, as the Group expanded its overseas business, he was responsible for SYNNEX’s joint venture strategic cooperation in the Asian-Pacific region, with a total business scale of SYNNEX’s joint ventures in Thailand, India, Indonesia and Vietnam amounting to US$12 billion. His outstanding achievement was highly recognized.

At the same time, David Tu also actively assisted Taiwan and European and American brands in exploring the Asian-Pacific market. In 2022, He was the only inductee from Taiwan into Intel’s Global Hall of Fame.
